Free Money

Everybody loves free money, myself included. The only thing better than free money, is MORE free money. Since starting my blog, I’ve already posted about numerous ways to earn money with very little effort. You might be thinking “Is signing up for a bank account really worth it for just $25?” and I will counter by saying that every little bit counts. The following is a collection of ways to earn some free money for spending, saving, investing or paying the rent.

Note: I use all of these programs, banks, services, etc.

Account Sign Up Bonuses:

  • $25 ING Savings Account – If you open a savings account with at least $250 you get $25 free. ING offers a very easy to use website that allows you to open multiple accounts and ladder CDs. Contact me for a referral.
  • $25 ING Checking Account – Same as above, but for a checking account. Contact me for a referral.
  • $25 ShareBuilder Account – ShareBuilder is an ING owned online stock broker. I signed up, received an account bonus and invested it in my company’s stock. ShareBuilder isn’t the best or cheapest online broker, but you can’t beat a free $25.

Cash Back Rewards Programs:

The idea behind the following cash back programs is that you follow a link from that program’s website to the desired retailer’s online store and make the purchase like normal. You then receive a percentage of the purchase back as a rebate. You get free money back for purchases you will be making anyways!

Free Money for Surfing the Internet:

Instead of using google for my searches, I use swagbucks (which actually uses google and ask.com as it’s search engine). Even when I just want to go to espn to get my sports fix, I type it into the swagbucks toolbar. I’ve already earned $40 in Amazon gift cards. This goes a long way towards appeasing my blu-ray addiction (I recommend Weeds, the Showtime series).

Let me know if any of these links don’t work and I will fix them immediately.
