My Favorite Articles of the Week

So apparently the college coaching carousel is beginning again. Just like when Roy Williams left Kansas for North Carolina. Then Bill Self left Illinois for Kansas. Then Bruce Weber left Southern Illinois for Illinois. And on and on again. This time it’s John Calipari leaving Memphis for Kentucky. Now Memphis has to find a new coach. Why doesn’t anybody want to stay in one place and build a national power instead of moving to an already established one. Wouldn’t it be more gratifying to build your own powerhouse instead of living off of what other coaches have built? I suppose these coaches have no sense of entrepreneurship or loyalty.

I didn’t find too many great articles this week in the personal finance blogosphere, but here are the ones that I found helpful and entertaining.

Madison at My Dollar Plan discusses the rumors about the revival of the $15,000 home buyer tax credit. Also, covered is a potential $5,000 tax credit for refinancing your mortgage. I will definitely be looking into this refinancing tax credit in the very near future, as I am in the process of trying to refinance.

Passive Family Income provided a breakdown of his passive income generation for the month of February. I really enjoy reading these monthly updates to get some great ideas for generating passive income of my own.

Pat at the Smart Passive Income Blog addressed how to automate your ebook sales. It is the fifth installment of his How to Publish an Ebook series. I’m super excited about this series and highly recommend reading the whole series if you’re interested in writing an ebook. I have a couple ebook ideas for the future and will be referring to this series for sure.

Jim at Bargaineering reviews a book about your credit score. Your credit score is one of the most important, if not the most important, aspects of your personal finance health. I firmly believe that the more information you have about your own credit score, the healthier your personal finances will be. It’s never too early to be thinking about your credit score.

The 2009 MLB season is so close I can taste it. All the starting pitchers are making their final starts of spring training. The weather is warming up, minus that bit of snow last weekend. Just a great time of year.
