Net Worth Page Premiere

I decided to add a net worth page. I enjoy being able to readily view the progress towards my 2009 goals from my goals page. I have found that the fact that my goals are readily available, keeps me motivated towards achieving these goals. I’d also like to think anybody reading this blog finds these goals helpful for motivation and as a goal setting example.

I wanted to make my net worth more readily available. I’ve been tracking my financial status prior to starting this blog, but it wasn’t until I started this blog that I really broke it down into assets and liabilities. I’m hoping that my net worth page will motivate me towards my journey towards financial independence. My snazzy little net worth graph helps me stay positive and continue working hard towards generating income, saving and investing.

I will be doing a series on asset allocation in the very near future. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about the benefits of asset allocation and look forward to employing what I’ve learned with an investment strategy.

Random Thought

Nothing like being one bullpen blowup away from sweeping the defending champion Phillies on the road to begin the season. I suppose I’ll have to settle for a series win. I’m optimistic about the baseball season for my Braves. I can’t wait to see the new Japanese import Kenshin Kawakami.

What accounts for the huge jump from 12/31/06 to … oh I see. The scale of the graph is pretty misleading since the time periods are not even.

@Money Progress, Yeah, the scale is super misleading, but my new laptop doesn’t have excel, so I’m working with google docs and I was having a hard time getting a decent looking graph. Any ideas?
