I stumbled upon a $25 bonus for opening an E*Trade Savings Account. I won’t use the account as my main savings account, but a free $25 is worth the ten minutes it takes to sign up. E*Trade has no minimum balances, no account fees, $1 minimum deposit to open, a 2.50% APY and is FDIC insured. Online statements are required with this account, which is no big deal for me as I get online statements for every account I have. To qualify for the bonus you must open a new account by 02/25/09 and the $25 will be credited within 30 days, however, I received mine the same day I opened my account. To open your account and get your free $25, follow the instructions below.

The initial deposit must be at least $1, which is all I deposited.
Review your information to check for any errors. Agree to the following disclosures: Rate & Fee Schedule, Account Agreement, Privacy Statement. Congratulations, your E*Trade account is now opened.
I spent less than 10 minutes on opening my account, and was rewarded with $25. The only down side is that the money is reported as interest income, but I suppose that is to be expected. I am always on the look out for free money and will continue to keep you all updated. I’m hoping to get a free money page set up as soon as possible that keeps tabs on all available free money opportunities.
